Reading the value analysis
Every card’s detail page has a Value Analysis card with four numbers: Annual Fee (what the card costs), Benefits Used (value you’ve marked as captured), Total Available (the full value if you used everything still active), and Net Value. Net Value is the bottom line — benefits used, plus any sign-up bonus, minus the annual fee. Green means the card is ahead; red means it hasn’t paid for itself yet.
The progress bar underneath shows what share of the card’s available benefits you’ve captured so far — a quick gut-check on whether you’re getting your money’s worth.
Use the year dropdown in the top-right of that card to switch years. The current year shows live progress; past years show what you captured then, which is handy at renewal time to decide whether to keep the card for another year.
Frequently asked questions
You haven’t yet marked enough benefits used to cover the annual fee for that year. As you check off more credits (or opt out of ones you’ll never use), the number climbs.
